a comic about space and dinosaurs.
hopefully non-aussies know what a hills hoist clothesline is, or this comic is gonna be real confusing.
i would be amiss if i failed to mention that ‘spaghettification’ is a real scientific term that you should totally drop whatever you’re doing and google right now. it refers to when the extreme tidal forces of a black hole stretch you into a long skinny noodles should you get too close. well, more likely it would just shred you to pieces, and you would have been well cooked by extreme heat and radiation long before you even got there, but hey, you’d be a tad too dead to appreciate the difference either way.
just stay away from black holes kids. they’re not your friends.

illustration day mates! i think i really should study how cool/warm light and shadow works because i have no idea what i’m doing. this time i snuck in a few sedna easter eggs. see if you can spot any (that is if you can be bothered).
fun fact: the saturn jigsaw puzzle is actually based on a true story. my sister gave me a 1,000 piece jupiter jigsaw last christmas and is was by far the hardest puzzle i’ve ever completed in my life. still, it was worth it just for the moment when we put the last piece in while blasting the musical piece ‘jupiter’ from ‘the planets, op 32’ by gustav holst. i know i’m a dork but it felt good man.
i usually use a star chart app to make sure the stars are accurate in each comic (based on where i live), and it just so happened that the twinkly “star” hovering over sedna’s room in the 4th panel is actually mars. i swear i didn’t plan it that way, that’s just where it happened to be when i drew this comic.
a happy little accident. (*´ω`*)
dini can basically read sedna’s mind by now. not that she makes it difficult.
you’d better do as she says dini, or she might hit you in the head with a rocket while you’re sleeping.
…again.
as much as i liked my school hat, that string really is just asking people to pull on it. probably explains why most kids ripped them off by the time they finished primary school. not me though. i was a good boy.
mine! >:(
(50 comics! yay!)
seriously, someone should totally do this story for real. it’s like the last samurai meets 300, but with aliens. i’m a little busy with another story at the moment though, so hollywood, if you’re reading this, i’m totally ready to sell out.
well, now you know why i started this story arc with the last illustration. now i’m half tempted to write a spinoff series about the adventures of “sedna the space ninja”, a brave young girl warrior who travels the galaxy saving planets from the threat of destruction by an evil alien empire. quick, someone stop me before i talk myself into it!
