The original format of Sedna, which was posted from 2016 to 2018.
If you’ve never seen the ISS before you’ll be surprised how bright it gets if it flies directly over your head. Perfect time for smooching. And best of all, almost anyone can see it – as long as you don’t live near the arctic or Antarctic circle (sorry Scandinavia).

Fun fact: I originally drew this strip with Dini in his beanie and scarf and didn’t realise the glaring continuity error until I was ALMOST FINISHED DAMN IT! >:( If I didn’t draw digitally I would have probably shot myself.
But Tom, how do you know when the Space Station is about to fly over? It’s not like NASA will personally send you a message telling you the exact time and direction it will- OHMYGOSHWHAAAAAAT?!
While drawing this strip I realised the characters’ heads are so large, I had to stretch Sedna’s body so that she could actually reach over Dini’s head without standing up (fortunately the hair obscures this, so it’s hard to tell)… and even that wasn’t enough, so I made Dini look upwards a little.

Mini story arc! Starring: the only thing that can get Sedna to wake up early.
If ‘The Lady and the Tramp’ taught me anything, it’s that next time she should try sharing a bowl of really long spaghetti.
(I mean, I haven’t actually seen The Lady and the Tramp, but I assume it all works out)
Awkward.
Hurray! Comic number 50! Halfway to an actual milestone! What better way to celebrate than with a BIG REVEAL that literally everyone saw coming? In fact, I’d like to apologise to everyone for pretending there was any mystery at all, it was pretty obvious who Sedna liked.
And… now I need to start thinking of something for comic #100.
Well, at least they didn’t ask her how school is going. Seriously, why do grownups always ask how school is going, when they KNOW the answer is going to be “…fine”?
I also used to lock myself in my room when guests I hardly knew came over, back when I was a kid.
(I mean, I still do… but I used to as well)
PLASMA TORNADO ON THE SUN!
“…in 2011, SDO watched as another tornado — this one about five times the size of Earth — gyrated at speeds of up to 186,000 mph (300,000 km/h).” ⊙_⊙
It’s 2017! And you know what that means? It means the copyright thingy at the bottom of the comic is slightly longer now! YAYY! But also it’s gonna’ be an exciting year for all things space, including the first launch of the Falcon Heavy, the August 21st Solar Eclipse in North America, and the impending doom of the Cassini probe. Well, not so much the last one. :(
Fun fact: Every star in this comic (and every other comic) is real. Which makes me probably the only comic artist in the world who doesn’t just jot random dots in the sky – which is about 20 times faster and no-one can tell the difference anyway.
This is the last comic for the year. So see you next year everybody! And congrats on surviving 2016!
