rocket science is easy. rocket engineering is hard.

finally another slice of life illustration! these are way easier than drawing dinosaurs or spaceships.
this one probably doesn’t have as nice colours or composition as some of my other illustrations, but i sure had a blast adding all the little easter eggs around sedna’s room (i wonder if any rocket nerds will notice anything… familiar about some of sedna’s rocket designs). :P
teacher’s pet
gotta cover all the important stuff first.

new illustration mates! this one’s totally not autobiographical mum, i swear.
i like to try and use a different colour palette for each illustration and so i originally drew this in mostly cool blue colours, but it wasn’t really working so i eventually gave up and defaulted back to purple and pink again. i might put the original on patreon if anyone’s interested.
sunny day
reading under a blanket is a bit like virtual reality. it’s super fun and immersive, but looks really stupid from the outside.
marfusha
i did way more research on bunnies in space for this comic than i ever imagined myself doing.
turns out the second bunny in space was called zvezdochka. but the third bunny in space (and first bunny in orbit) never had its name or picture published, which is not only super disappointing on its own but also totally killed my original comic idea of having a whole photo album of pioneering space bunnies. damn it soviet union, all you had to do was give this bunny a name. was that really so hard?

dini can basically read sedna’s mind by now. not that she makes it difficult.
one more chapter
when i lived in japan there was someone living nearby who started their motorbike at around 5am every morning, so whenever i stayed up way too late playing strategy games or watching anime (which was pretty often considering my classes started at 12:50), that revving sound was what rudely let me know that i screwed up.
fast forward to when i’m back in australia thinking i’ve been freed of that accursed bike alarm, and alas, i forgot that all our damn birds start singing at 5am. it’s like the universe wants me to have a proper sleep schedule.
you can’t tell me what to do, universe! you’re not my mother!
bedtime routine
personally i read with my kindle every night as a way of making myself tired enough to fall asleep, but i have to read in my second language to give my brain some work to do. if i read in english i risk sailing through the book until suddenly i look up and it’s 9am the next morning.
i mean… not that i’ve ever done that before… ( ⚆ _ ⚆ )
a boy and his dinosaur

oh boy. this one took me a long time to draw. illustration is so haaard! what am i even doing drawing a webcomic?
fun fact: a fully-grown t-rex would be over 5 metres from head to bum, much larger than this little guy.
fun fact 2: grass didn’t exist in the mesozoic when the dinos were kicking around, meaning the time traveller in this imaginary scenario isn’t dini but the t-rex.
