Yayy! The educational strips are back. Here are some complementary Sirius facts:
Sirius is technically a binary star system made up of Sirius A – a star twice the size of the Sun – and Sirius B – a white dwarf.
Sirius B is so tiny it wasn’t observed until 1862.
The word ‘Sirius’ is the Latinised form of the Ancient Greek word for ‘glowing’.
Sirius is sometimes called the ‘Dog Star’ for reasons that will become apparent in the next comic.
