hurray! a considerably less ridiculously time-consuming illustration than the last one. i bet people will like it more than that one anyway because clouds are pretty and life is unfair. :(
apparently i have a thing for painstakingly drawing all the stars 100% accurately and then covering half of them with clouds anyway. but it’s the thought that counts, right guys?

I feel like there’s a deep meaning about raising your kids, but eventually having to let them take off with their own hopes and dreams.
Sedna was born and raised on earth, but she will take off to space, independent of her father, even if it’s hard to let go and be left behind.
…but I’m probably just overthinking things.
Nah, you’re not overthinking it, that’s a great analysis. :D
I was essentially trying to think of a fun illustration that would summarise Sedna and her dad’s relationship and this is what I came up with.
