sedna: because of this, even though mercury is tiny and spins so slowly, it still has a magnetic field like earth. this protects it from solar wind (evil sun particles).
sedna: sometimes though, it gets all twisted up and sucks up solar wind, creating a “magnetic tornado”.
sedna: there’s no moral to this story, i just wanted you to know that “magnetic tornadoes” are a real thing.
